More on this blog’s rationale: where is engineering and theology?

In the past week, Episcopal Cafe has run several articles that mix Christian theology with other areas of experience. They are all worth reading

  1. Science and Religion
  2. Artist as Theologian
  3. Integrating Medicine and Ministry

Integrating two realms of knowledge has become a more common affair for Christians. Thankfully it rests on ancient authorities like Augustine of Hippo and Gregory the Great. However, most of the talk of overlaps the natural sciences (Polkinghorne and McGrath) or the arts (ECVA) or medicine with theology.

Surely there must be room for the engineering disciplines! That’s why I’ve been happy to see what’s going on with Dynamic Link. Only by coincidence did that journal open within a few weeks of this blog. Hopefully these are signs new things emerging and we’ll open up the conversation between these groups that traditionally ignore one another.
